A trip down memory lane

Fans of Avril Lavigne will be delighted to hear her perform her classic hits such as Sk8er Boi, Girlfriend, Here’s to Never Growing Up, and Complicated, as well as some of her newer songs from her latest album Head Above Water, released in 2019. The tour will also mark the 20th anniversary of her sophomore album, Under My Skin, which featured the singles Don’t Tell Me and My Happy Ending.

Lavigne, who was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2023, has sold over 40 million albums and 50 million singles worldwide, making her one of the best-selling Canadian artists of all time. She has also won eight Juno Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, and received eight Grammy Award nominations.

A star-studded lineup

Lavigne will not be alone on her Greatest Hits tour, as she will be joined by some of her friends and fellow musicians. Canadian band Simple Plan, who toured with Lavigne on her first tour in 2002, will support her on select Canadian dates, along with American bands All Time Low, Royal and the Serpent, and Girlfriends on other dates.

Lavigne expressed her excitement for the tour on her Instagram account, where she wrote: “This is going to be too much stupid fun celebrating my career with my friends and fans. Who’s coming??? What songs do you want to hear???”
