The festival will be headlined by System Of A Down, the Armenian-American band that has sold over 40 million records worldwide and is known for their politically charged and socially conscious lyrics. The band, which headlined the inaugural edition of Sick New World in 2023, will close the show with their signature blend of heavy metal, thrash, alternative, and folk influences.

Joining them as co-headliners are Slipknot, the masked metal icons from Iowa who have been making waves in the scene since their self-titled debut album in 1999. The nine-piece band, which is currently working on their seventh studio album, will bring their intense and chaotic live performance to the festival, complete with pyrotechnics, percussion, and crowd interaction.

A Diverse And Eclectic Mix Of Artists And Genres

Sick New World 2024 will also feature a wide range of artists and genres, from grunge legends Alice In Chains to British metalcore stars Bring Me The Horizon. The festival will also showcase some of the most innovative and experimental acts in the scene, such as A Perfect Circle, the alt-metal supergroup led by Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan; Danny Elfman, the legendary composer and former Oingo Boingo singer who recently released his first solo album in 37 years; and Sleep Token, the mysterious masked collective that combines metal, pop, and electronic music.

Other notable acts on the lineup include Primus, the quirky and eccentric trio that fuses funk, rock, and metal; Babymetal, the Japanese kawaii metal sensation that mixes heavy metal with J-pop; Loathe, the British band that blends metalcore, djent, and shoegaze; Ice Nine Kills, the horror-themed metalcore outfit that draws inspiration from movies and books; Knocked Loose, the hardcore punk band that delivers brutal breakdowns and mosh pits; Motionless In White, the gothic metalcore group that incorporates industrial and synth elements; Jinjer, the Ukrainian band that combines progressive metal, groove metal, and reggae; Code Orange, the Grammy-nominated band that pushes the boundaries of hardcore and metal; and Spiritbox, the Canadian band that has been gaining popularity with their catchy and melodic songs.

The festival will also feature some of the veterans and pioneers of nu metal, such as Killing Joke, Lamb Of God, Sevendust, Black Veil Brides, Bad Omens, and Kittie. Additionally, there will be many more up-and-coming and underground acts to discover at Sick New World 2024.
