Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the rap mogul and entrepreneur, has been sued by his ex-girlfriend, the R&B singer Cassie, for allegedly subjecting her to physical abuse, sexual slavery and rape during their 11-year relationship. The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, accuses Combs of luring Cassie into a lavish and drug-fueled lifestyle and exploiting her for his own sexual and financial gain.
The shocking allegations against Combs
According to the complaint, Combs began dating Cassie in 2006, when she was 19 years old and he was 37. He promised to help her with her music career, but instead isolated her from her family and friends, controlled her finances, and forced her to sign over the rights to her songs and performances to his companies. He also allegedly subjected her to frequent physical abuse, including punching, slapping, choking, and throwing objects at her.

She claims that she still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts as a result of Combs’ actions.
Cassie’s demand for justice and compensation
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for Cassie’s pain and suffering, as well as punitive damages to punish Combs for his “malicious, oppressive, and despicable” conduct. The lawsuit also asks for a restraining order to prevent Combs from contacting or approaching Cassie or their son. The lawsuit states that Cassie is suing Combs “to hold him accountable for his horrific crimes and to deter him and others like him from ever harming another woman again.”
The lawsuit also accuses Combs of violating several state and federal laws, including the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, the Violence Against Women Act, the California Civil Code, and the California Penal Code. The lawsuit claims that Combs engaged in sex trafficking, sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and unfair business practices, among other offenses.
