NBC is ready to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with a lineup of festive holiday specials featuring some of the biggest names in music and entertainment. From the iconic Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony to a tribute to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll at Graceland, NBC has something for everyone to enjoy this season.
Kelly Clarkson Hosts Christmas in Rockefeller Center
One of the most anticipated events of the holiday season is the annual tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center in New York City. This year, Kelly Clarkson will host the live special, which will air on NBC and Peacock on Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET. The special will feature performances by Cher, Chloe Bailey, Keke Palmer, Pentatonix, Rob Thomas, and more. The star of the show, of course, will be the 79-foot-tall Norway spruce that will be adorned with more than 50,000 multi-colored LED lights and a Swarovski crystal star.
John Legend, Lana Del Rey, Post Malone, and More Honor Elvis Presley at Christmas at Graceland
Following the tree-lighting ceremony, NBC will present a new holiday special honoring the legacy of Elvis Presley and his love of Christmas. Christmas at Graceland will air live from the music legend’s home in Memphis, Tennessee on Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and Peacock. The special will feature performances by Alanis Morissette, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, Lana Del Rey, Post Malone, and The War and Treaty, who will sing songs inspired by Presley’s cherished Christmases in Memphis. The special will also include never-before-seen footage of Presley and an appearance by his granddaughter, Riley Keough, who is also an executive producer of the event.
More Holiday Specials to Look Forward to on NBC
NBC’s holiday programming doesn’t end there. The network will also air several other specials throughout the season, including:
- A Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving Special on Nov. 22 at 9 p.m. ET, featuring the best sketches from the show’s history about the holiday.
- The National Dog Show Presented by Purina on Nov. 23 at noon ET, showcasing more than 2,000 dogs from over 200 breeds competing for the coveted Best in Show title.
- Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. ET, a musical celebration of the country icon’s hometown of Sevierville, Tennessee, featuring special guests like Jimmy Fallon, Reba McEntire, and Carrie Underwood.
- The 2023 Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. ET, honoring the best in film and television, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
