Loki season 2 episode 4 introduced a new character: Victor Timely, a variant of Kang the Conqueror who lives in the 19th century and invents futuristic devices. He agrees to help Loki and his allies stop the Temporal Loom from destroying the multiverse, but he meets a tragic end when he tries to attach his through-put multiplier to the Loom. He is instantly spaghettified by the temporal radiation and dies in front of everyone.
The Temporal Loom Explodes
Without the through-put multiplier to stop it from overloading, the Temporal Loom self-destructs, unleashing a wave of temporal energy that appears to kill Loki, Mobius, Sylvie, O.B., and everyone else in the TVA. Well, that’s what the cut-to-black ending suggests. We don’t actually see them die, which begs the question: what’s happened to them?
The Mystery of Ravonna
Meanwhile, Ravonna, the head of the TVA, reveals her true colors as she betrays Mobius and orders him to be pruned. She also tries to kill Sylvie and Loki, but they manage to escape with Victor’s help. Ravonna seems to be working for someone else, but who? And what is her motive for maintaining the order of the sacred timeline?
The Cliffhanger
The episode ends with a huge cliffhanger that leaves us wondering about the fate of our heroes and the future of the multiverse. Will they survive the blast? Will they find a way to restore the timeline? Will they face Kang the Conqueror or another enemy? And will Loki finally become the best version of himself?
We’ll have to wait for the next two episodes to find out.
