It was a night of romance and surprises for Bachelor Nation, as Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell got engaged on live TV at the wedding of “The Golden Bachelor” and his bride.
The Golden Bachelor Wedding
The finale of the ninth season of “Bachelor in Paradise” featured the wedding of “The Golden Bachelor” and his fiancée, who met and fell in love on the show. The couple, whose identities were kept secret until the big day, exchanged vows in front of their family, friends, and fellow Bachelor alumni at a lavish ceremony in Malibu, California.
The wedding was broadcast live on ABC, with host Chris Harrison officiating and providing commentary. The guests included some of the most popular and controversial figures from the franchise, such as Zach Shallcross, Charity Lawson, Rachel Recchia, Becca Serrano, Kat Izzo, and Aaron Schwartzman.
The Surprise Proposal
But the wedding was not the only highlight of the night, as Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell stole the show with their surprise proposal. The couple, who met and started dating shortly after “Bachelor in Paradise” wrapped up, had been keeping their relationship under wraps until the finale.
Brayden, who was a contestant on Charity’s season of “The Bachelorette” and later on “Bachelor in Paradise,” revealed that he had planned to propose to Christina, who was a contestant on Zach’s season of “The Bachelor,” at the wedding. He said he had asked for permission from the bride and groom, as well as from Christina’s daughter, Blakely, who was also present at the event.
Brayden said he knew Christina was the one from the moment he met her and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He said he had a near-death experience when his boat sank off the coast of San Diego and that it made him realize how much he loved her and wanted to be with her.
He then got down on one knee and presented Christina with a stunning ring, which he said he had designed himself. Christina was shocked and emotional, but she quickly said yes and hugged him. The crowd cheered and applauded as Chris Harrison congratulated them and called them the newest members of Bachelor Nation.
The Happy Couple
Brayden and Christina later spoke to people exclusively about their engagement and their relationship. They said they were overjoyed and grateful for the opportunity to share their love with the world. They said they had a lot in common and liked the same things, such as Tenacious D, whom they saw together on their first date.
They also said they had a strong bond with each other’s families and that Blakely was a big part of their relationship. They said they were planning to move in together soon and that they were open to having more children in the future. They said they were looking forward to their wedding, which they hoped would be as beautiful and memorable as the one they witnessed.
They also thanked their fans for their support and love and said they hoped to inspire others to find their true happiness.
